ASY · SMALL BUSINESS & IRREGULAR INCOME
Free monthly budget planner
Plan for the strong months. Be ready for the lean ones.
Build a month-by-month budget for small-business income, self-employment, W-2 take-home pay, and household spending. This free online planner from Accounting Services of York, LLC helps you plan tax set-asides and a cash reserve when income varies.
Plan income, expenses, and cash flow
- Choose W-2 income, self-employment income, or both, and enter each month’s business expenses and household spending.
- Compare lean and strong income scenarios, plan savings, and see months that may need help from your cash reserve.
- Export your budget as a CSV file or print it before closing or refreshing the page.
Free with name and email registration. The tax set-aside is a savings target you choose, not a calculation of taxes owed.

Monthly budget planner questions
Can I use this for irregular income or a small business?
Yes. Enter different income and expense amounts for each month to plan for seasonal changes. Keep business expenses and household spending separate. The planner shows how your chosen savings rate and opening reserve affect your cash cushion.
Can I include W-2 pay and self-employment income together?
Yes. Choose the combined income option, enter W-2 take-home pay and gross business income separately, and enter household spending once. Your chosen tax set-aside applies to positive business profit, not W-2 take-home pay.
Does the planner calculate my tax bill?
No. It helps you budget using a tax savings percentage you choose. It does not calculate federal, state, or local taxes or determine whether payroll withholding is sufficient.
Can ASY help me review my budget?
You can contact our York, PA office about a consultation. Explore our small-business bookkeeping and tax preparation services. Your budget is not sent to ASY automatically; you choose what to share separately.
Budget figures are kept only while this page is open. Export your plan before leaving or refreshing.
Set your planning targets

Your annual plan
Positive surplus funds the reserve at your selected savings rate. Lean months draw from the reserve first. Any deficit beyond the available reserve is an unfunded shortfall. Remaining surplus is shown as money left; it is not carried into the reserve automatically.
Want help reviewing your numbers?
